Frequently Asked Questions

This Section covers some of the Basics in what we do.

Q: How do I know if I have Spyware or a Virus?

A: Typically Spy-ware will cause your PC to perform much slower than when you originally bought it , you may also experience random pop-up ads while surfing the Internet or just checking emails.
A good way to judge if you have spy-ware is a simple check in the Current running processes on your computer, to do this right click on your taskbar and go to Task manager then to the "Processes" tab, At the bottom it will tell you how many processes are running, if there are more than 45 running or you see Processes in the List such as BonziBuddy.exe or AnitVirusXP.exe you may need a Performance checkup and quite possibly have spy-ware

Q: What is Spyware?

A:
Spy-ware is a Small program that gets installed onto your computer by means of exploitation or "piggy Backing" on other software Learn More with this
Spyware Documentation <- Right Click and Go to "Save Target As".

Q: Why should I get a Performance Check-up?

A:
A performance check-up can improve you efficiency when doing work and cause you less frustration as well as save you some money, as you know running a computer uses electricity and if your computer is running processes that it does not need to or is processing spy-ware applications and viruses in the background this will make the PC use more electricity, Check out the Study
here. A computer with spy-ware and viruses or poorly performing rarely runs at idle.

Q: What are Drivers and why should I update them?

A:
Drivers are programs that tell the operating system what to do to properly interact with a piece of hardware such as a video card that displays windows Xp to your monitor. The Drivers tells Windows how interact with the video card inside the computer so you can see everything on your monitor. It is important to have drivers running and updated so that the OS can perform its best and if new hardware is attached it will know how to interact with it

Q: Why Should I Back-up my Data?

A:
As most systems nowadays are stable and reliable, backing up your data is still very important because of the risk viruses and spy-ware introduce to your PC. Backing up your data will prevent it from being lost because of a malicious virus or piece of spy-ware that caused your Computer to crash and burn. As well as the chance of hardware failing, especially older hardware that losses a lot of its reliability after 3 years or so. A Hard Drive might have a 5 year warranty but that warranty is not on your Data.

Q: Why should I get you to Install Hardware

A:
Having hardware installed does not always go very smoothly,  I have Custom built over 300 PC since I was 12 years old and know the problems that can occur  while installing a piece of hardware and  can quickly and easily trouble shoot a problem if one arises. Also something that is habit that they DO NOT DO at other big box store is test the hardware once it is installed, RAM for instance can be installed and used but may not be functioning properly, and you wouldn't know until months later that the hardware is faulty.

Q: What are your Qualifications?

A:
I have spent my life since I was 10 years old fascinated with Computers and almost any related technology and have worked in the industry since I was about 16 and have work for Mutiple highly reputable businesses such as Unis Lumin, Sheridan College and VMware.
